Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your ChorifIQ account at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes all of your personal data from our systems.
Delete Your Own Account
Section titled “Delete Your Own Account”- Tap the account icon or hamburger menu.
- Tap Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- ChorifIQ sends a confirmation link to your email address.
- Open the email and tap Confirm Deletion.
Your account and all associated data — profile, chore history, photos — are permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
What Is Deleted
Section titled “What Is Deleted”When your account is deleted:
- Your profile (name, email, username, avatar, phone number)
- Your chore completion history
- Your device tokens (push notification registrations)
- Your uploaded photos
- Your account credentials
Chore definitions and family data remain if the family has other members (they are associated with the family, not you personally).
Delete a Minor’s Account (Child or Teen)
Section titled “Delete a Minor’s Account (Child or Teen)”Minor accounts (children and teens) are tied to the family they were invited to and cannot be transferred. To delete a minor’s account, a family manager removes them from the family — this permanently deletes the account, all chore history, and revokes parental consent.
- Go to Manage → People.
- Expand the minor’s row.
- Tap Delete Minor Account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

If you’ve lost access to the manager account, contact support via the Account screen and we’ll assist you.
Leave a Family Without Deleting
Section titled “Leave a Family Without Deleting”If you want to leave a family but keep your account:
- Tap Account → Settings.
- Tap Leave Family and confirm.
You’ll keep your account and can join a new family with an invite code. Your chore history within the old family is not transferred.
