Goals & Progress
If your manager has set a goal for you, ChorifIQ tracks your progress and shows it on your dashboard. Goals give you a clear daily target so you know when you’ve done your part — and they help your manager balance the workload fairly across the family.
Types of Goals
Section titled “Types of Goals”| Type | How it works |
|---|---|
| Points Goal | You earn points equal to the effort value of each chore you complete. Harder chores are worth more. |
| Chores Goal | You earn one credit for each chore completed, regardless of effort. Every chore counts the same. |
Your manager chooses which type applies to you. You can see your current goal type and target value in your Profile under My Account Info.
With a points goal, you have flexibility in how you reach your target. If your daily goal is 10 points, you could complete one big 8-point chore and one 2-point chore, or knock out five 2-point tasks. With a chores goal, it’s simpler — complete the required number of chores and you’re done.
Reading Your Progress
Section titled “Reading Your Progress”Your dashboard shows a progress indicator at the top of the screen for the current goal interval. For example:
- 8 / 10 points today — You’ve earned 8 out of your 10-point daily goal. Two more points to go.
- 2 / 5 chores this week — You’ve completed 2 of your 5-chore weekly goal.
The progress updates in real time as you complete chores. Once you’ve reached your target, the indicator shows you’ve met your goal. Exceeding your goal is fine — extra completions still count toward the leaderboard and your stats.
The interval resets automatically based on what your manager configured (daily, weekly, etc.).
Per-Day Goals
Section titled “Per-Day Goals”Not every day is the same. Your manager can set different targets for different days of the week — for example, a lighter target on school days when you have homework and a higher one on weekends when you have more free time.
If per-day goals are configured for you, your dashboard shows the target for today rather than a single fixed number. A day set to 0 means no chores are expected — effectively a built-in day off.
Per-day goals require a Pro or Max subscription.
Your Streak
Section titled “Your Streak”Your streak counts consecutive days where all your assigned chores were resolved favorably. It’s visible on the Leaderboard and in My Stats, and it’s one of the most satisfying numbers to watch grow.
What continues your streak:
- Completed chores (finished on or before the due date)
- Excused chores (your manager forgave the chore — it’s forgiven, not failed)
- Vacation days — Days marked as vacation by your manager are skipped entirely and don’t affect your streak in either direction
What breaks your streak:
- Completed late (finished after the due date — even by one day)
- Expired chores (past due and no longer actionable)
A single late or expired chore resets your streak back to zero. The streak counter only increments on days where you had at least one assigned chore and all of them were resolved on time (or excused).
