Creating a Family

This is a continuation of the account creation process. On the Complete Your Profile screen, you chose to create a new family.

Steps

1. On the Complete Your Profile screen, expand the Create a Family card.
2. Enter your last name — ChorifIQ creates the family as “The [Name] Family” (e.g., entering “Smith” creates “The Smith Family”).
3. Fill in the rest of your profile details.
4. Tap Complete Profile.

Your family is created and you’re taken to the manager dashboard — a central overview showing all family members and their assigned chores. As the family creator, you are automatically the manager, which gives you full control over chores, member settings, scheduling, and family configuration.

The dashboard will be empty at first — that’s expected! You’ll fill it by inviting family members and creating chores in the next steps.

Note

You can later promote other members to manager if you want another adult to share management responsibilities. The number of managers allowed depends on your subscription tier.

What Comes Next

1. Add family members — Invite your household members using an invite code or minor invite link.
2. Assign your first chore — Create a chore definition and start scheduling assignments.
